Even before the COVID-19 crisis suddenly shutdown society, Whisper has been battling to solve social isolation that is plaguing the world with anxiety, stress, depression, hopelessness, excessive screentime, family turmoil and suicides. With these issues climbing up the walls of the hallways students have nowhere to go and no one to listen to them and what they have to say.

We believe students are given a gift when they are empowered to own a movement. Students can take the reigns by themselves with conversations. So how Whisper does that is it’s a grassroots movement that starts with us, the students, who know what the problem is and how to fix it. Together, with students leading the charge, we can tell a different story—and stay connected amidst the lockdown.

Weekly moments like these are meant to give you emotional ammo through connection concepts to thrive not just survive while stuck at home. We want to see you cling to the idea of something that’s real. Not just another program or club, but a movement and a new mindset.

If what you experience has a mark on you, then there may be an opportunity to take the helm for spearheading this at your own school, and leave your own mark post-COVID-19.
