Moments are the momentum for the movement.
Listen, Respond, and Act are three tools that each act like sparks to bring about change in your school. Every time you practice them, you strike a match against the dark and send sparks flying.
Think about a magnifying glass. Held alone, it allows us to examine things closer. Yet put a powerful light behind it, and that same magnifying glass can focus that light into a fire. Conversations allow us to focus on individuals and kindle a fire in others for genuine connection.
Who needs to hear this? Who needs to be changed through this message? Start with a few. Share your desire with them for genuine connection at your school. Let your desire for change fuel a fearlessness to strike one spark at a time until a fire is kindled.
Understand this—you have uncommon power in you to bring about change, and it happens one conversation at a time. Success comes when daily habits become a lifestyle leading to a changed future. It’s time to face your future with fearlessness. It’s time to start a fire.
